About Traningrad
Traningrad is the english subsidiary of my french blog, Red is undead. As such, it mainly contains translations from french.
The main topic of this blog was at first transgender issues, but I now also try to talk a bit about feminism in general and the political situation in France from a far left perspective.
About Elly Rouge
My “true” name is Elly Henry. I am a french phD student in computational neuroscience, a transgender, and a member of the “Ligue Communiste Révolutionnaire” (Revolutionnary Communist League), which is itself transitioning to the “Nouveau Parti Anticapitaliste” (New Anticapitalist Party).
I define as:
- trans’, and transgender, but not transsexual ;
- pasfemme (in french) or womanoid, because I don’t completely define as a woman but feel quite close ;
- féministe radicale, and maybe radical feminist, but I am not too sure of this because many things from “radfems” I read sounded so wrong to me ;
- french, not that I really define like this but I think it plays a role when I interact with english-speaking people (to start with, I strive writing in english, it doesn’t come naturally at all) ;
- communist, because, hey, come on, ¡viva la revolución!
I also like to write fantasy novels or short stories, but since english is not my mother tongue I have very few texts of this kind in this language.
